Strength Training is a form of exercise using free weights, equipment, or your own body weight to induce muscular contraction. Clients with Osteoporosis and/or Osteopenia benefit greatly from strength training because the muscular tension that pulls on the tendons have shown to increase bone density. Other benefits include improved joint function, metabolism, and body awareness.
